Using spotlights as ceiling lighting instead of traditional ceiling lights can have its advantages. Spotlights or spits for bathrooms can function both as point lighting of selected parts in the bathroom, while providing good and pleasant general lighting. Our spotlights for bathrooms are available in three basic designs; 12V, 230V and LED.

Recessed spotlights for bathrooms with the right IP class

It is important that the recessed spits meet the requirements for sealing class. You cannot use just any lamp in a bathroom, but it must have a sufficiently high IP class. Which IP class you need also depends on where in the bathroom the lamp is to be placed. In general, you can say that a higher IP class means a denser and safer spotlight. IP65 - Right above the shower and bathtub. IP44 - Min. 0.6m from shower head. IP44 - At least 0.6 m from shower head. IP21 - At least 0.6m outside the bathtub or shower. Remember that it is always the electrician who takes responsibility for the installation. Therefore, consult your electrician which IP class you need.
